About

Curiosity as a Method

Professionally, I have never followed a trend, only my curiosity. And it has always pointed me in the right direction.

I began with a degree in computer science, followed by German studies, psychology with a focus on social psychology, and modern German literary history. That's not a contradiction; programming languages are languages too: precise, rule-governed, meaning-bearing. And social psychology explains what syntax alone cannot: why people adopt new systems, or resist them.

What AI doesn't replicate is the ability to draw connections between fields that ordinarily stay separate.

I see that as an advantage, especially now. AI is taking over specialized tasks. Those who limit themselves to a single discipline compete directly with systems that perform the task faster and more tirelessly. Generalists think in connections, and the more domains someone has truly internalized, the more singular their combination becomes. That's not a romantic notion. It's a structural necessity.

2014

First software startup

Small team, real product, operational reality.

2016

Second software startup

Built again, with more clarity about what building actually means.

2024–2026

First SaaS

Build first prototypes with AI. Evolving from AI-assisted coding (Vibe Coding) to full Agentic Workflows (Agentic Coding).

I learned what it means not to describe technology, but to build it.

I recognized the turning point toward the AI era early. In the summer of 2022, months before ChatGPT reached the general public, I was already working with the first image generators: DALL-E 2 and Midjourney. The debate that emerged in tech circles and the cultural press, about copyright, creativity, and the role of machines, was not an abstract question. It was a technical and strategic one.

What came next was no surprise. It was a logical consequence.

Today I advise companies on the strategic adoption of AI, develop my own software products with AI-powered tools, and run VAN GODFREY, a fashion brand that thinks art, culture, philosophy, attitude, and technology together.

Three fields, one logic: not just thinking through ideas, but realizing them.
